What to expect
Civic Tech DC is celebrating its 13th anniversary with a Halloween party that replaces its usual Project Night. Expect costumes, drinks, snacks, cake and relaxed networking with people who work on or care about civic technology. There is a costume contest, and the organizers encourage techy, nerdy, civic tech inspired or unusual costumes. The prize, according to the page, is eternal glory.
Who should attend
Founders, developers, designers, data people and public servants interested in technology for government and communities. If you are building a govtech or civic tech startup, or are new to DC and want to meet people who volunteer on public interest tech projects, this is an easy and social way in. More than 100 people had registered as of October 20, 2026.
Hosts
The event is presented by Civic Tech DC. Hosts listed on the page are Alma Trotter, Nick Stoler, Helen Glover, Michael Deeb, Evan Tung and Justin Mezetin.
Venue and access
The party is upstairs at Sudhouse DC, 1340 U St NW, Washington, DC 20009. There is a cash bar with drinks and food available for purchase. The page does not list start and end times, so check the Luma listing after you register.
