What to expect
Speed Meet is a fast-paced virtual mixer run by the Maryland Women's Business Center. Attendees meet other business owners in short, small group breakout sessions and move to a new group every few minutes. The goal is real conversations without the awkward small talk, so you leave with a few people worth following up with.
Who should attend
The mixer is aimed at entrepreneurs and business owners who want to grow their local network without traveling to an in-person event. It works well for founders who are new to Maryland and want a quick way to meet peers, possible customers and collaborators. Past Speed Meet listings from the center said the sessions were open to everyone.
How to join online
The event runs from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Eastern time on Thursday, October 22, 2026. Past Speed Meet sessions were held on Zoom with rotating breakout rooms. The center's event pages note that adding the event to your calendar does not register you, so complete the registration step to receive access details.
How to register
The event is free. Register through the Maryland Women's Business Center registration page, which is linked from the event listing. For questions, contact the center at info@marylandwbc.org or 301-315-8091.
