What to expect
Connect Labs Baltimore and the BioPark Knowledge Community are hosting a 60 minute, hands-on storytelling workshop for scientists and founders. You will build a story structure for pitches, elevator conversations and investor narratives. You will leave with a framework you can reuse to explain technical work to investors, partners, regulators and other non-technical audiences.
Speaker
The workshop is led by Joanna Ghayad, PharmD, PCC. She has 15 years of experience in healthcare, biotech and pharmaceuticals, including roles at the University of Pennsylvania and Bristol Myers Squibb. She also mentors startups through the HiveBio Life Science Accelerator. More about her is at joannaghayadcoaching.com.
Who should attend
The workshop fits life science and deep tech founders, researchers thinking about spinning out a company, and technical team members who pitch to investors or partners. It is especially relevant if you are preparing for fundraising or partnership conversations and find it hard to make your science land with non-specialists.
Venue and access
4MLK at the BioPark, 4 N Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21201. The session is in the Assembly Space on the 2nd floor. It runs from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Eastern time on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
