What it is
The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit based in Lansdowne, Virginia, that describes itself as Loudoun County's premier business advocacy organization. It focuses on economic prosperity, individual opportunity and community vitality, and its homepage puts membership at nearly 1,100 local businesses. More than 200 members serve on its committees.
What it offers founders
For a founder new to Loudoun, the Chamber is mainly a place to meet local customers, partners and referral sources, and to keep up with county and state policy. Recurring formats include:
- Business @ Breakfast, a monthly roundtable networking breakfast at Belmont Country Club.
- LeadShare, more than 10 referral groups that meet twice a month for 60 to 90 minutes, usually with one seat per industry.
- PolicyMaker Series, sessions on how policy decisions are made, with recent topics on the energy market and data centers.
- GovCon, a monthly committee meeting plus workshops on topics such as SBA small business size standards and how contracting officers evaluate proposals.
- Loudoun Technology, a monthly committee for the county's tech community, meeting in person at the Chamber with a virtual option.
The annual Loudoun Small Business Awards honor small businesses, entrepreneurs and nonprofits across 10 categories, including Loudoun Entrepreneur of the Year. The Chamber also runs the Young Entrepreneurs Academy for middle and high school students.
Membership and pricing
Membership is annual. Standard membership is priced by employee count: $450 for home-based businesses and 501(c)(3)/(c)(4) organizations, $680 for 1 to 10 employees, and $980 for 11 to 50 employees, with higher rates for larger firms. All standard levels include access to LeadShare, committees and discounted event pricing. The Emerging Business Tier ($1,145 per year, aimed at companies with 10 or fewer employees) adds an enhanced directory profile, a complimentary ribbon cutting, one Business @ Breakfast admission and tickets to quarterly Loudoun On Tap events. Higher tiers range from $1,995 to $9,000. Details are on the membership options page.
How to engage
You do not need to join right away. LeadShare groups allow non-members to visit twice before deciding, and the GovCon and Loudoun Technology committees say all guests are welcome. Browse the events calendar and the committees and initiatives page, then contact the staff liaison listed for each group. The office is at 19301 Winmeade Drive, Suite 210, Lansdowne, open Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Why it matters in the DMV ecosystem
The Chamber runs policy programming on issues such as data centers and energy, and its GovCon workshops focus on federal contracting rules. For a B2B or govtech startup selling into Northern Virginia, it is a practical route to local buyers, prime contractors and county officials.
