What it is
Eaton House is the coworking and private office community inside Eaton DC, a hotel and cultural venue at 1201 K Street NW in downtown Washington. Members work across three floors, with common areas on each floor set up for both focused work and informal collaboration. Eaton describes the space as an incubator for diverse ideas and voices in the DC community, and members get access to custom event programming alongside the workspace.
Memberships and pricing
Eaton publishes its rates on the coworking page:
- Drop-In Day Pass: $40 for 8 hours, Monday to Friday, with Wi-Fi, printing, coffee and common area access. Requests need 24 hours notice.
- Nomad: $250 per month for 24/7 building entry, common areas, conference room use, event programming and global membership network benefits.
- Dedicated Desk: $400 per month for your own desk with a locked cabinet plus full Eaton House access.
- Private Offices: from $1,800 per month for 2 people, $2,500 for 4 people and $3,500 for 6 people.
- Conference rooms: $200 for a half day or $400 for a full day, open to members and non-members, with large screens, video conferencing and wireless screen sharing.
What members get
All tiers list 24/7 building access, unlimited printing and copying, high-speed Wi-Fi, phone booths, a business mailing address, pet friendly spaces, complimentary use of the hotel gym and access to member events. Members also receive hotel and venue discounts, including reduced rates on hotel rooms, wellness services, on-site parking and Eaton Cinema rentals.
Who it is for
Eaton House fits founders who want a downtown DC base with a creative, hospitality driven setting rather than a conventional office floor. The Nomad and Dedicated Desk tiers suit solo founders and freelancers, while the 2 to 6 person private offices suit small teams. Mission driven and culture focused founders may value the programming and the venue's arts and media orientation.
How to engage
Tours are available Monday to Friday during business hours through the booking form on the Eaton House coworking page. Membership questions go to housedc@eatonworkshop.com. To get a feel for the community first, check the Eaton events calendar or browse the wider Eaton site.
Why it matters in the DMV ecosystem
Eaton House combines published coworking rates with a hotel, restaurants, a gym and event venues in one downtown building. For founders hosting out-of-town investors or customers, or running small gatherings, having workspace, meeting rooms and hospitality under one roof near the K Street corridor can simplify logistics.
